I'm a graduate from IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta. I've been running my own garments business for the last 20 years. When I started helping my daughter with her business school application few years back, I realised how confusing and challening this process can be for Indian students, and so I decided to start helping others who needed help and guidance. My effort is to be your mentor, someone who can help you navigate this process, a friend that you can use as a sounding board.

We are often asked the question - "What kind of candidate is this business school looking for?" These aspirants want to mould their own profiles to suit what they think the school wants, with the misconception that it will improve their chances.

We believe on the other hand that schools do not have typical profiles that they want candidates to look like. Rather they want a good mix in their class, and prefer people who are individuals in their own right.

So our approach to your business school application is to present you exactly as who you are. To this end, we help aspirants by getting to know them individually, and by helping them know themelves. Through personalized attention, we try to help each one work out the strategy that best suits them individually rather than a 'one size fits all' approach. Our effort is to help them bring out their own story, their own strengths, abilities and achievements, in the best way possible.

Therefore, we DO NOT write your resume. We DO NOT write your essays. Rather, we help you better structure your own resume and essays around your stories, so that all elements complement each other, and bring out a comprehensive and compelling image of who you are.

Now a little about us:

OUR APPROACH - personalized attention

I'm a graduate from IIT Roorkee and The Wharton School. I was a Program Manager at Microsoft in India when I started applying for my MBA. And boy was it tough! It took me a long time get my first decent application out and I almost came to the point of giving up. Luckily, I found a great mentor in my father who helped me through the application process and I landed at Wharton.

It is during my own application process that I realised the immense need for someone who can guide and mentor an applicant - and the unfortunate absence of someone reliable and affordable in the Indian market. I thus co-founded getyourMBA with my dad after graduating from Wharton.
